SPATIAL THINKING ANALYSIS OF GEOGRAPHIC STUDENTS BASED ON LSLC (LESSON STUDY FOR LEARNING COMMUNITY) IN GEOGRAPHIC LEARNING

Abstract
Spatial thinking ability in the process of learning geography is an urgency to explain phenomena, find meaning, answers, and solutions about shape, size, orientation, location, direction, objects in certain spaces on the earth's surface. This study aims to analyze and describe students' spatial thinking abilities and the development of the learning process continuously. This type of research is descriptive qualitative, research subjects are geography students totaling 50 people. The study was conducted in the 2016 entry year class, January-June 2018 semester. Data collection techniques through 6 observers to observe lecturer teaching in class. The learning scenario refers to steps of lesson study; "Plan", "Do" and "Se". Data analysis techniques with reduction, display and data verification. The results of the study found that lesson study for community learning can improve students' spatial thinking skills, both in asking, discussing and expressing opinions. Development is getting better and more fun, because students know the weaknesses and advantages of every activity carried out during the learning process.
