Abstract
Leisure and tourism become very important need of individual, family and people nowadays. In order to increasing a satisfaction of visitors of tourism object, development of a tourism work culture among civil servants and tourism community is an important effort to be made. Some questions in this research are: 1) Is there an influence of tourism work culture among civil servants towards visitor’s satisfaction in tourism object in West Sumatera?; 2) Is there an influence of tourism work culture among tourism community towards visitor’s satisfaction in tourism object in West Sumatera?;3) Is there an influence of tourism work culture among civil servants and tourism community altogether towards visitor’s satisfaction in tourism object in West Sumatera?
The research uses quantitative methods by distribute questionaires to respondents those choosed by purposive sampling as well as incidental sampling. 39 civil servants and 37 members of tourism community are participated in data collection. The study also uses 213 visitors as respondents.
The result of a study shows that there is significant influence of independent variable (X) to dependent variable (Y). By using t test analysis, the study result proved that tourism work culture of civil servants has partial influence to visitor’s satisfaction. A proportion are: a) influence of work culture of civil servants to visitor’s satisfaction is 45,6% in Aie Manih Beach; b) influence of tourism work culture among tourism community to visitor’s satisfaction is 30,4% in Aie Manih Beach; c Influence of tourism work culture among civil servants and tourism community altogether is 64,6% to visitor’s satisfaction. In sum, sustainable development of tourism work culture could make a view that will make condussive social interaction to development of tourism sector. As a result, time this will improving a welfare of local people.
